The car yesterday was an Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio. It's an Italian equivalent to the BMW M3 - a practical sedan with 4 doors and a trunk that just so happens to have 505 hp under a discreet carbon fiber hood. It set the Nurburgring lap record, the major industry sports car benchmark, for a production 4 door sedan in 2016.
That's a ~2020+ model in the video. You can tell by the exposed carbon fiber roof. It had a sticker price of at least $80k. The Quadrifoglio outperformed the M3 at a lower sticker price when it entered the US market.
I know the boys are mostly into comfortable luxury cars. This car is about driving fast on twisty backroads, but still being able to take the kids to school. To each their own...
The white color in the Jermey Clarkson video is ugly on the car IMO.
